Antique brass kettle trivet or pan stand
A simple and elegant antique brass trivet dating from the Victorian era. This is a more unusual circular trivet with circular shapes cut out of it forming a cross pattern. It stands on three brass feet.
Due to its shape I think this trivet was originally used for a kettle or pan hot from the stove. Still very useful today as a hot pan trivet in the kitchen, hot serving dish stand on the dining room table, a rest for plant pots or vases to stand on, or simply as a decorative piece.
The trivet is good vintage condition, showing some signs of age, but still looking great. It measures 22.5 cm in length, 14.5 cm across and 4 cm high.
