Heavy amber castor insulators or glass tealight holders
A pair of fabulous Victorian amber glass piano rests or castor insulators. These insulators were placed under the castors of pianos or heavy furniture to avoid damage to floors or carpets. Nowadays they can be used at attractive tealight holders, or to catch the light on a window sill or as paper weights
These piano rests are Octagonal in shape and show signs of a purposeful life They are attractive and unique pieces of glass that look wonderful on display. They are chunky and heavy (approx. half a kilo each) and beautiful! A wonderful little piece of social history.
They measure 8 cm in diameter and 4 cm high. Price is for the pair.
