A set of four old English glazed stoneware cream, green and brown jars
A lovely set of four glazed ceramic stoneware jars. The two brown salt glazed jars, with their curved shape, were traditionally used to store cream. The white glazed jar is heavy for its size and may also have been used for cream. The green pot would have originally had a handle as you can see from the two spots at the pack and has a small spout for pouring. The jars make a lovely and unique collection.
They are in vintage condition with various marks, with some little bumps under the glaze and discolouration, typical of these types of jars and bottles that give them a lovely rustic feel and look, and make each one unique. The cream jar has some internal rust marks. As mentioned the green pot is missing its handle.
The white pot measures 10.5 cm tall, the brown jars and green pot measure 9 cm tall.
They would look beautiful displayed in a collection of stoneware or could be used as vases. Would work well in a kitchen, living room or bathroom and are equally at home in a vintage style or modern home.
Price is for all four items as a set.
