Set of five English glass patterned paste jars
A lovely set of five old English glass jars in various designs. The smaller jars are embossed Peck's and Oxo.
Originally these jars were used for pastes, meat extracts and stocks. Now, with their lovely chunky textures, they are pretty to display in a kitchen or bathroom and can be used as small storage jars or as small vases.
A little history...
Peck's was introduced in England in 1891 and is still produced today. Oxo, the famous British Brand, was first trademarked in 1899, producing meat extracts before developing its famous Oxo stock cubes.
They are all in good, clean, vintage condition. A few small marks from age and use. Two of the large jars have clouding to the glass. They measure from 7 cm to 9 cm tall.
