A lovely set of three vintage amber glass Lysol bottles all dating from the early twentieth century.

Lysol antiseptic disinfectant was first introduced in 1889 to help end a cholera epidemic in Germany and is still available in different formulations today. The original formulation of Lysol contained cresols and was poisonous if ingested. The markings on all these bottles help to identify them as being a posionous product.

Nowadays they provide a great tactile and attractive set of bottles in a lovely warm brown amber glass which look great on display. They can be used as bud vases or as reed diffusers.  The three bottles in this collection include:
  • The largest bottle has a diamond pattern with a triangle and circle logo with Lysol across the middle. Marshall's is embossed above.  It measures 12 cm high.
  • A smaller bottle with a diamond pattern, and Not To Be Taken embossed on its shoulder, measures 10 cm high.
  • The third bottle has a raised dots pattern, and Not to Be Taken on its shoulder. It measures 9.5 cm high. There is some internal dirt.
All the bottles are in good vintage condition. There are some marks and manufacturing bubbles in the glass.
