Trio of English glass patterned paste jars
A lovely set of old English glass paste jars in three different designs, dating from the early twentieth century. They include:
- A lovely curved jar with stripes on the bottom half and bulbous top. Has a registration number on its shoulder. Measures 8 cm high.
- A J Sainsbury Ltd London striped jar with a shield blank. Measures 9 cm high.
- A CWS jar with a lovely textured diamond pattern and shield blank. Measures 9 cm tall.
Originally these jars were used for sandwich paste. Now, with their lovely chunky textures, they are pretty to display in a kitchen or bathroom and can be used as small storage jars or as small vases.
They are in good, clean, vintage condition. A few small marks from age and use.
